• Serial Entrepreneur: Jan Walsh pioneered local, profile based, internet guides in 2006.

• Jan Walsh is also a food and wine writer. She has published cover and feature stories and reviews for international, national, regional, and local print and online publications since 2004. She also writes for her own websites, Birmingham Restaurants and Auburn Restaurants. “Jan makes me so hungry!” This is what she does best. 

• In 2023 Jan Walsh also launched Culinary Cartoons. Here she develops the characters, plans the scenes, and writes the one-liners. Her cartoonist draws the toon's artwork. And she holds the copyright for her Culinary Cartoons.

• Also in 2023 Jan Walsh launched Birmingham Home, for locals to find tried and true, trusted and vetted home service providers.
